Vuw - Inner Moon Vuw

Based in Nagoya, VUW draws on their R&B- and soul-influenced music to pursue a minimalist sound stripped down to its essentials and a distinctive groove that makes full use of the spaces between notes. With music that combines understated heat, rhythms that gently move the body, and a balance of sophistication and rawness, the group has attracted music lovers across genre boundaries at live venues.
Their first full-length album, "Inner Moon," takes the night as its central theme, capturing the shifting times and sensations experienced across nights of many different colors and shapes in a collection of 10 tracks. The title evokes a presence like a moon floating within oneself. From the exhilaration drifting through the city in the small hours to the peace of spending time alone in silence, and the loneliness and warmth hidden in the depths of the night, VUW portrays the many facets of nighttime through its signature minimalist sound and supple grooves. Rich with emotion even in the spaces between notes, this ambitious work captures the group’s sound at their current stage. The album will be released exclusively digitally and on vinyl.
