Our highlight of the week is the latest record from Nate Amos AKA This Is Lorelei, AKA one half of experimental indie outfit Water From Your Eyes. With a rather sprawling back-catalogue of EPs, mixtapes and compilations on his Bandcamp page, Amos has veered fluidly between lo-fi bedroom indie and brash hyperpop to hushed alt-country and has been covered by the likes of MJ Lenderman, Hayley Williams, Jeff Tweedy and Cameron Winter. Now newly signed to Matador he has focussed his sound into a warm and cohesive, yet charmingly off-kilter, 'beatnik road album' that shares headspace with the likes of Kurt Vile, Wilco and Alex G. This is a real grower of a record which we're sure you'll fall in love with!
