The world was never ready for The Monsters, and The Monsters were never ready for this world. 40 years in growing into a real flesh and blood monster, they present you with their ninth album, containing a good two hands of in your face wild noisy and fuzzy tracks. One Riff-Beat, Trash, Garage, Bern Metal, Boogie, Punk, Grunge - U-hits that turns you inside-out, recorded by "Miracle" Robert "Worker" Butler and mixed by Jim "Dirtbomb" Diamond as a kinda Garagepunk dreamteam.
Forty years ago, in 1986, the youth culture revolution in Bern, Switzerland, was in full action and they kids & young adults wanted to break free from the conservative chains. The streets were burning, the clubs were forming and a new Swiss Music Culture was born. This also sparked the beginning of The Monsters. Forty years later, the state of the music culture, or rather the world in general, has arguably worsened, and individual thinking and creating is still not widely accepted, or even requested (Ay, AI?!).
So in March 2026, the band could not do other than move all its instruments, recording equipments and ideas into the rehearsal space and spent a month with Robert Butler (a.o. The Miracle Workers) and his mobile "Two Cent Recording Studio", writing lyrics (approximately about 100 words, some meaningful, some nonsensical, scattered throughout the album), shaping sounds and recording guitars in various forms and colours, peppering the whole with percussion, drums, bass, and obscure organs and synthesizers, which they found on flea markets and friend's basements.
After that that four-week trip they sent the entire chaos to Jim Diamond (Ghetto Recorders-Studios in Detroit, Dirtbombs, White Stripes, Gories, André Williams, you get the picture, right?!) for a mind-blowing mixing adventure.
The result is a dozen songs without any compromise, weakness, or strength. Just simple, raw, lo-fi, high-spirited Garage Punk'n'Roll with forty years of no-experience.

Shipping

- We send all postal orders via Royal Mail's 48 hour tracked service. Your tracking number will be added to your order upon fulfilment

- Orders can be placed for collection from either of our stores (Oxford or Witney)
