First, they performed solo: John opened the evening with 'My Foolish Heart', followed by 'One Melody', while Paco began with 'El Pañuelo' – a performance that immediately made it clear why he was setting standards worldwide as a flamenco guitarist. John and Paco then played the rest of the concert as a duo, presenting not only their own compositions, but also ‘Spain’ by Chick Corea and ‘Frevo Rasgado’ by Egberto Gismonti.
