NOAHFINNCE named his new album WONKY because it encapsulates how he feels about life in the mid-2020s. "In a way, it's about self-acceptance, because I am a little bit different and a little bit wonky, so I am going to feel emotional about what's going on," says the alt-rock singer-songwriter. "And the world's in a real wonky place, too, not just politically, but also in the way that algorithms and AI seem to be taking over." In response to the rise in digitally

content, Noah has taken a defiantly "handmade" approach to creating artwork and video props for the WONKY era. He's been busy sewing, scanning and printing various items in a reassuringly old-school way. Along the way, Noah’s cultivated a loyal following of alt-rock aficionados. Released in 2024, hot on the heels of his buzz-building EPs Stuff From My Brain and My Brain After Therapy, Noah's debut album Growing Up On The Internet was named one of the year’s 50 best LPs by Kerrang!.

, Noah's made his most cohesive body of work yet. "I'm not a really goal-oriented person. I don't think much beyond making the best album I can or playing the best shows I can," he says. "But I guess what I'm always striving for is a feeling of catharsis. I want people who listen to my songs to feel like they're not crazy for feeling the way I do. I want them to hear me and feel less alone.”
