Wandered is the new album released October 2nd 2026 from Yorkshire's Jack Rutter, one of UK folk's finest and most distinctive voices
Following on from his critically acclaimed album trilogy of traditional songs ( Hills, Gold of Scar and Shale, This Is Something Constant ), Wandered represents a new chapter for Jack Rutter's music. Self produced for the first time, this record explores new ground with the inclusion of layered field recordings, ambient textures, instrumental pieces and contemporary songs that sit beside the traditional, always retaining this essence of Rutter's traditional roots and signature powerhouse guitar and soaring vocals. Performances were captured in single takes live in the studio with multi-instrumentalist Jack also adding bouzouki, harmonica, concertina, harmonium and stomp to the album.
With this collection of rare and previously unrecorded traditional songs, contemporary songs and instrumental explorations, Rutter at once invites the listener into an intimate world of single take recordings and textures, whilst simultaneously capturing the massive energy of his imaginative song settings which have cemented his reputation as a singular performer at the forefront of the UK folk scene.

Shipping

- We send all postal orders via Royal Mail's 48 hour tracked service. Your tracking number will be added to your order upon fulfilment

- Orders can be placed for collection from either of our stores (Oxford or Witney)

- Pre-ordering is a great way to secure your copy of an album prior to its release date
- We aim to ensure all pre-ordered products are shipped or ready for collection by the album's release date
