Originally recorded in 1985 in a quartet setting, the album features breezy, swinging highlights such as “I Thought About You,” showcasing Sjögren’s light,
agile scat, alongside the delicate title track—a beautiful jazz ballad made famous by Blossom Dearie.
Blending Brazilian influences with the clarity and coolness characteristic of Nordic jazz, the album offers a refined yet soulful listening experience.
Among its standout moments is “The Real Guitarist in the House,” a sublime interpretation of a Steve Kuhn composition, inspired by the vocal version of
