Glasvegas return with their fifth studio album, Airy Fairy, marking a bold new chapter for one of Scotland’s most distinctive and enduring bands.
Since emerging from Glasgow’s East End, the band have built an intensely loyal following around their atmospheric wall-of-sound and deeply resonant storytelling, with their platinum-selling 2008 debut earning widespread critical acclaim and a Mercury Music Prize nomination.
Airy Fairy explores identity, escape, perception, relationships and the complexities of the modern world, questioning the space between what is real and what we imagine or convince ourselves is real. A ‘red line’ runs through the record, connecting its different songs and ideas; while each track has its own identity, they are all rooted in what songwriter and frontman James Allan sees, experiences and understands. This world is brought to life visually through the distinctive artwork of Ross Muir, whose work adds another layer to the album’s themes of perception, reality and imagination.
Six years on from their last studio album, this is Glasvegas at their most personal and reflective; a cinematic, emotionally charged record that builds on the sound that made them so distinctive while opening the door to a new generation.

Shipping

- We send all postal orders via Royal Mail's 48 hour tracked service. Your tracking number will be added to your order upon fulfilment

- Orders can be placed for collection from either of our stores (Oxford or Witney)

- Pre-ordering is a great way to secure your copy of an album prior to its release date
- We aim to ensure all pre-ordered products are shipped or ready for collection by the album's release date
