In December 2017, the original line-up (with the exception of drummer Daniele Albertazzi) announced that they had a new EP ready under the pseudonym Dish-Is-Nein , which was released by Contempo Records in January 2018.On 9 June 2022, guitarist and founding member Dario Parisini passed away
In December 2022, the single 'The Man Machine' was released in digital format. In April 2023, the 7- inch single 'The Metal Machine' was released, featuring a remixed version of the track 'Eva'. On 25 March 2025, they released the LP 'Occidente (A funeral party)'on drums Justin Bennett Skinny Puppy , Peter Murphy and Rozz Williams )
Dish-Is-Nein are the successor band to Disciplinatha. Disciplinatha made their mark with a repertoire of scathing lyrics set to energetic rock that blended industrial, electronic and post- punk, but they are best remembered for their aggressive and provocative imagery.
This new album by Dish- Is- Nein with Justin Bennett on drums Skinny Puppy , Peter Murphy and Rozz Williams ) marks a meeting point between past and present, combining reinterpretations of two classic Disciplinatha tracks (Crisi di Valori, now titled "I Valori della Crisi", and "Ultima Fatica") with a new track, "Mi Sveglio", which takes up their conceptual legacy, updating and enriching it with elements linked to the contemporary nature of "modern times". The three tracks form a journey that traverses the crisis of the individual even before that of the world around them, the weariness, and the realisation, for the few clear- headed minds, of being "cannon fodder". An EP that offers no solutions, but invites critical listening, posing a question that remains unanswered: what are you going to do?
