Dance Hall Crashers delivered their heaviest album yet with Purr. Produced by Fat Mike and mixed by Tim Palmer, the record captures the punchy, arena-scale energy of their live shows. Highlights include the ferocious opener "Beverly Kills," the anti-suck-up anthem "The Real You," the grungy "Remember to Breathe," and '60s-pop-infused "Make Her Purr." The band pairs their signature ska-punk hooks and biting lyrics with moments of vulnerability, like the acoustic track "Cricket." Ultimately, Purr stands as a studio release that fully captures DHC's live intensity, sharp wit, and genre-blending sound.
