Accident of Birth is the fourth studio album by Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson, released on 12th May 1997. It was Dickinson’s second collaboration with Roy Z and it’s in a very different style to his first album Skunkworks. On the album, he also collaborated with fellow (at the time) former Iron Maiden member Adrian Smith. Often regarded as one of Bruce’s finest solo albums, it spawned the fan favourites Man Of Sorrows and Road To Hell.

Now in 2026, Bruce has collaborated with Grammy award winning producer, Brendan Duffey on a new remix of the album. Duffey also worked on his hit 2024 album, The Mandrake Project and 2025’s reimagined album, More Balls To Picasso.
