It took four albums for Brieg Guerveno to break free from the rock fury of his past. Four records, like a chrysalis, finally allowing him to fully reveal himself. With Vel Ma Vin, Brieg presents a new face, more folk than ever, more stripped-down and above all deeper.
The dark ballads with subtle string arrangements form an engaging whole, worthy of the tortuous introspective paths of a soothed Ulver, a twilight Sigur Rós, bringing back to life the vocal harmonies of Anathema’s early 90s albums.
Sung entirely in Breton (as with all his records), Vel Ma Vin promises intimate concerts in the half-light, touching the faint glow that breaks through the misty compositions of this modern album filled with moving sensitivity.

Shipping
