Pop punk, glam punk, edgy power pop, however you want to label it, Seattle's BABY AND THE NOBODIES deliver in spades, with just a bit of dirtied up class. "See me coming, ready or not, doesn't matter if you like it or not ..." Rebecca Terry projects with the slightest hint of venom as 'Ready Or Not' kicks off with "Bombs Away," the album's first single. It's also the running theme throughout the record: a little bit of "fuck you, we're already here" crossed with that snot nosed kid that lives down the street that you want to strangle but don't dare. Because there will be retribution. In fucking spades.
Produced by legend and long time friend Jonathan Plum, who has helmed records by acts such as Alice in Chains, Ann Wilson, Candlebox to name but a few and tracked at the equally legendary London Bridge Studios (home to sessions from Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone and Queensryche, just to name a few) the quartet although endearingly rough around the edges, aimed for sonic perfection ... and achieved it. "Jonathan is great to work with, he puts up with Rev and Rebecca's creative differences and brings both of their ideas to the table. He's great at listening and understanding where an artist is coming from while still giving his creative input. Jonathan has a way of taking the music, polishing it, scuffing it up and polishing it again. He. Gets. It."
'Ready Or Not' was recorded at London Bridge Studios in Seattle, WA. Other albums recorded there include Mother Love Bone's 'Apple,' Alice in Chain's 'Jar of Flies,' Candlebox's 'Lucy' and 'Death by Rock N' Roll' from The Pretty Reckless.
'Ready Or Not' was produced by Jonathan Plum, who has overseen albums from Pearl Jam, One Republic, Zakk Wylde and other heavy hitters.
