Man vs Machine
Nature vs Digital
Organic vs Cyber
Homo Sapiens vs Artificial Intelligence
Dreams Of The Machine arises from the current state of the world we live in.
In our digital reality, we are increasingly controlled by algorithm and artificial intelligence. the rise of tools like ChatGPT is taking over functions that were once exclusively human. smartphones constantly draw us into the virtual world, sometimes so deeply that it makes us unhappy. AI seems more and more real. It affects our self-image: selfies are filtered and beautified until they are barely human. The authentic human blushes, and al comes dangerously close in his ability to imitate reality. sometimes it seems as if AI itself is hanging to be more human.
We also recognize this tension in our music. everything is created digitally behind the computer, but with the help of plug-ins, we often seek a more organic sound. we embrace small imperfections to show that our music is made by human hands. But: there already exist AI tools that generate complete songs. where is the boundary between human and machine? Can we create a world in which both exist in harmony, organic and digital?
Our previous album was full of real flowers. What would flowers imagined by AI look like? What is real anymore, and who decides that?
With Dreams Of The Machine we want to take the listener on a trip to these ideas. a journey to our own universe, where everything is allowed and where humans and machines dream together.
