Originally released in 1992 under the title ‘A’, a version of the original album expanded to include various bonus tracks, entitled ‘The Answer’, was released three years later. Andy Scott once again succeeded in putting together a top-class line-up, consisting of Mal McNulty (Slade), Bodo Schopf (Eloy/MSG) and Steve Mann (MSG/Lionheart). With ‘The Answer’, Sweet managed to reinvent themselves without losing sight of their roots. The songs feature timeless hard rock with metal influences, yet always remain unmistakably Sweet. The album is regarded as a genuine, long-overlooked gem in the band’s discography. Having been available only to collectors for years, ‘The Answer’ is now finally back in stock on CD and vinyl for all fans of this British glam and hard rock legend.
