Yorkshire raised and London based producer Kloyd, real name Kate Lloyd, announces her debut mixtape ‘New Love’, due June 26th via Anjunadeep. Having just been announced on the line-up of Green Man & End Of The Road Festivals, and with an upcoming support tour with Art School Girlfriend, 2026 is shaping up to be a massive year for the artist. ‘Kate’s Theme’ is a beautiful, melancholic epilogue to the mixtape, built heavily around a freeform piano riff. Speaking on the track she adds “All the piano was improvisation of a composition that just flowed out on the spot and recorded in one take with layers of piano and synth to accompany. I remember feeling extremely sad when I wrote this and originally titled it ‘nevermind’. I cried quite a lot writing it. It was cathartic because I was disappointed and hurt, but the track provided a shelter and comfort - like a hug. I’m trying to say it’s all going to be ok and things will work out how they will work out.” The upcoming mixtape brings together a network of female collaborators and continues Kloyd’s distinctive blend of textured production, emotive songwriting and cinematic sound design. Drawing comparisons to artists such as Four Tet, Massive Attack, Bonobo and Burial, the project moves fluidly between intimate, atmospheric moments and heavier, club-rooted compositions. The announcement follows a breakthrough run of support for recent single ‘New Love’, which has gained significant traction across UK radio and tastemaker platforms. At BBC 6 Music, Kloyd has been championed by Nick Grimshaw (First Play), Lauren Laverne (who selected the track as her Beauty Spot), Don Letts, and the New Music Fix team. Across BBC Radio 1, support has come from Jess Iszatt, Jaguar - who named the track her Dancefloor Moment - and Sian Eleri, alongside continued backing from BBC Introducing, where she was previously named Track of the Week. Beyond the UK, Kloyd has also secured her first major US tastemaker support, with Jason Bentley playing ‘Nothing Could’ve Made Me’ on KCRW, further signalling growing international interest. Kloyd was included in the prestigious NME 100 for 2026 and CLASH Magazine described her sound as “opaque digitalism… the hazy gauze of sound throwing a web over carefully etched songwriting,”. Kloyd's rise is also reflected in her live activity. She has recently performed a packed DJ set at Fabric (London), with further appearances confirmed at Green Man Festival and End Of The Road Festival, alongside a UK tour supporting Art School Girlfriend. Speaking on the mixtape, Kloyd adds: “This mixtape is about exploration — stepping into new spaces emotionally and sonically. There’s a thread of uncertainty running through it, but also a sense of release and surrender as it unfolds.” With sustained support now building across radio, DSPs, press and live, Kloyd enters 2026 as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging electronic artists — with her forthcoming mixtape marking a defining moment in her trajectory.
