The late David Johansen (New York Dolls; Buster Poindexter; The Harry Smiths) belts out what can only be described as a heartfelt love song. One of the last songs Johansen recorded in the studio, his voice evokes the raw vulnerability of a heart broken open in love. "Gonna love you baby, till I lose my mind."
With Earl Slick (David Bowie; John Lennon) on acoustic guitar, Slick’s celestial sounds and Johansen’s earthly, authentic vocals channel the possibilities of transcending earthly love.
This collaboration crescendos with an intense harmonica solo, bridging the elements of blues and rock. Johansen and Slick remind us what really moves us all in this mortal coil – love. “L.U.V.”
