The album blends Evans’ originals — including ‘Las Vegas Tango’ and ‘El Toreador’, and the Miles Davis collaboration ‘Flute Song/Hotel Me’ — with inspired interpretations such as Kurt Weill’s ‘The Barbara Song’, all rendered through his distinctive big band lens.
