Following a breakout year for the band, Lost Map are issuing a very limited repress of Echoes / Anam Cara by Cornish cosmic folk collective Blind Yeo — with just 50 copies being made available to UK shops via Cargo.
Originally released in 2024 and long sold out on vinyl, Echoes / Anam Cara brings together the band’s first two EPs, documenting Blind Yeo’s rapid evolution from lockdown-era home recordings into one of the UK underground’s most exhilarating psychedelic live acts. Led by Will Greenham and Anoushka Helm, Blind Yeo operates as a fluid collective with a shifting cast of collaborators, blending motorik rhythms, kosmische electronics, jagged guitar improvisation and sprawling folk songwriting into something wild, communal and emotionally charged.
The project first emerged from a creatively explosive residency at the Cornish Bank in Falmouth — a not-for-profit arts space that has become a focal point for Cornwall’s thriving DIY underground scene — before growing into a psychedelic carnival of sound best experienced live. The band’s increasingly euphoric reputation has been cemented by standout appearances at festivals including Shambala, Tropical Pressure, Solfest and Smuggler’s, alongside widely praised sets at the Edinburgh, Manchester and Brighton editions of Psych Fest in 2025.
Blind Yeo self-released their debut EP Echoes in 2023, earning support from NTS, Soho Radio and BBC Introducing, before joining Lost Map in 2024 with the sprawling psych-kraut single ‘Otherside’ — championed by BBC 6 Music’s New Music Fix. Their second EP Anam Cara was recorded in an off-grid, solar-powered woodland studio hidden on the north coast of Cornwall, and was later paired with Echoes to create this debut vinyl compilation: a vivid snapshot of the band’s first two years together and the thrilling journey of discovery they’ve been on ever since.
Since the album’s original release, Blind Yeo have recorded a KEXP session, signed to Bongo Joe Records, and announced a brand new album due later in 2026.
