The Solomon Gundy Band is the project of British trumpeter and composer Sean Corby, bringing together a cross-generational collective of musicians from the UK's vibrant jazz scene.

Their debut album Hancestry blends soul jazz, Afro- diasporic rhythms and soundsystem sensibilities into a contemporary statement that reflects both tradition and experimentation.

Mixed by Ashley Slater (Loose Tubes) and featuring guest appearances from UK jazz legend Courtney Pine, rising star pianist Sultan Stevenson and vocalist Julie Dexter, the album bridges the pioneering generations of Jazz Warriors with sounds of today's vibrant UK subculture. Rooted in Sean Corby's personal journey back to the trumpet after years away from the music, Hancestry celebrates resilience, collaboration and the evolving story of jazz in the UK.
