On December 6 1980 the Dead took the stage at the Mill Valley Recreation Center, stripping down to an acoustic configuration that feels intimate and spontaneous. Jerry's voice shines through the audience mic-- crystal clear. Brent's understated keyboards and Mickey's subtle drumming give just enough backbone without crowding the intimacy.
