Become The Sky is the new album from ARIA award-winning pianist and composer Sophie Hutchings. The album served as a musical travelogue of her adventures, challenges, and epiphanies in the famously unforgiving environment of the Australian landscape.

For the album, Sophie wished to create what she affectionately dubs the ‘Sleepy Sister’ to her previous, more sonically layered album, A World Outside. Become the Sky is a collection of meditative, piano-led pieces ruminating change, travel, and returning home.

Sophie writes: “In our fast-paced, anxiety-fueled world, this album was written to be a musical companion, a way to slow down and appreciate life in slow motion. May it be that for you.”
