Established in 2004, Truck Witney (formerly Rapture) is Oxfordshire’s longest-running independent record store. Along with our sister store on Oxford’s Cowley Road, we pride ourselves in supplying the best music, old and new, to our customers.
We are a true indie brick-and-mortar shop, and a firm staple of the local community. Our devoted team are always more than happy to help with any query, advice, or recommendations – our tastes span across all genres!
Our Witney shop carries everything from new releases to classic records, CDs and Vinyl to DVDs and Blu-Ray, and even some band merch! Not only this, but we boast an impressive selection of Pre-Loved Vinyl upstairs, covering almost every genre under the sun. But that’s not all: we also stock new and used Hi-Fi, so pay us a visit and we will endeavor to help you out in any way we can.
Our Oxford shop sits in the heart of the Cowley Road, serving as a hub of independent music, and with Mostro Coffee nestled inside, we can meet all of your music and caffeination needs. We have a smaller but carefully curated selection of pre-owned CD and Vinyl alongside our fantastic new CD and Vinyl. Our Cowley Road store also hosts a variety of In-Stores on our dedicated stage and Out-Stores hosted in our partner venues – we have the pleasure of showcasing some of the best local and international musical talent of the present moment!

Accessibility
The ground floor of our Witney shop is wheelchair accessible, but regrettably we do not have lift access to the first floor. However, if you need anything or are after anything in particular, do not hesitate to ask a member of the team and we would be more than happy to get stock from upstairs.
Access to our Cowley Road shop is not step-free, however we have a ramp that staff will happily set up for you. Likewise, we are always more than happy to answer any questions or locate any stock for you. We’re a friendly bunch so we are always on hand to help whenever needed!
