Dinked 98 is the debut album by the Preston-based dream-pop newcomers White Flowers. Day By Day is released on May 7th by Tough Love.
White Flowers make dream-pop with a uniquely dark twist, melding trip-hop drum machines, ghostly synths and shoegaze walls of sound, all topped off with dreamlike vocals and a post-industrial sense of hauntology. Assisted by the production of Doves’ Jez Williams, Day By Day is an all-encompassing album, with deep atmospherics and off-kilter songwriting, as the duo developed their sound over the 2 years spent recording the album. Fans of Cocteau Twins, Beach House and Slowdive will find much to love here.
