We’re back with Dinked 177 – the debut album from Dublin psych-rock 5-piece MELTS. Beginning as a garage-rock group in late 2017, MELTS quickly outgrew this label, incorporating elements of psych and Krautrock, turning them into a space-rock colossus. Made with the assistance of Gilla Band’s Daniel Fox on production, Maelstrom is a driving monster of an album, combining Motorik rhythms with hypnotic synths and fuzzed out shoegaze guitars into an entrancing wig-out. Fans of The Horrors, Josefin Öhrn, Spiritualized and Melody’s Echo Chamber will find a lot to love here. Maelstrom is released on June 17th by Mother Sky.
