Description
Dinked 206 is the debut album from post-punk trio GRAVE GOODS. Made up of members of Pins, Girls Names and September Girls, GRAVE GOODS came together over their love of both early post-punk and Existentialist philosophy, dubbing their music ‘Sartre-Rock’. Fresh off support slots for BEAK>, HEALTH and Jon Spencer, GRAVE GOODS bring the claustrophobic minimalist punk of their live sets to record, with angular guitars over a rhythm section of muscular bass and clattering drums. Lyrically, TUESDAY. NOTHING EXISTS. explores the world through the lens of Jean-Paul Sartre’s 1938 novel Nausea, acknowledging the pointlessness of existence and what it means to create meaning for oneself. Fans of Wire, early Sleater-Kinney, Dehd and even the more raucous moments of Can will find a lot to love here. TUESDAY. NOTHING EXISTS. is released on September 9th by TULLE.
The Dinked Edition of TUESDAY. NOTHING EXISTS. is on 300 limited hot pink LP with exclusive hand-numbered risograph printed inserts and illustrated pages from Jean-Paul Sartre’s Nausea.
