We’re back with Dinked 180 – the new album from Toronto post-punk duo Deliluh. Starting out as a 2 piece but streamlining to a duo after initial writing sessions for this album, Deliluh make a form of post-punk that is as indebted to first-wave post-rock and avant-pop as it is Joy Division and Gang of Four. Previously exploring issues of their hometown in their lyrics, the band have now turned to a more global outlook, having moved to Europe just before the pandemic forced them to record and refine from home. Dissonant yet somehow graceful, and hypnotic in its cyclical repetition, Fault Lines is a triumph of post-punk songwriting, effortlessly combining tracks of angular guitar work with dark and cinematic analog synthesis. Fans of Slint, Squid, DRINKS and This Heat will find a lot to love here.
The Dinked Edition of Fault Lines is on 500 limited and numbered Cloud Grey LP with Super 8 film cuttings and a postcard with a link to exclusive content.
