Description

We’re back with Dinked 186, the debut album from French-born, London-based composer Akusmi. Combining minimalism with cosmic jazz, Akusmi (the moniker of composer-producer Pascal Bideau) makes richly colourful and beautifully textured compositions, recalling Philip Glass and Steve Reich at their best. Prior to the recording of his debut, Bideau travelled to Indonesia, immersing himself in the musical culture, and the inspiration is clear: the compositions on Fleeting Future clearly reference traditional Gamelan music, combining this with his own minimalist background to create a Fourth World masterpiece. Fans of Daniel Brandt (who features on the album!), 90s Brian Eno, Max Richter and Michael Nyman will find a lot to love here. Fleeting Future is released on June 24th by Tonal Union.

The Dinked Edition of Fleeting Future is on 300 limited and hand-numbered transparent red LP with 4 riso-prints from visual artist Sigrid Calon, including one signed by Akusmi.
