We’re back with Dinked 216, the debut album from transatlantic psych duo Abraxas. Comprised Carolina Faruolo (ex-Los Bitchos) and Danny Lee Blackwell (Night Beats), Abraxas came together as a transatlantic collaboration during the darkest periods of 2020, with both artists finding solace in retreating into the joy of Latin rhythms and psych grooves, creating music for their own fantasy dancefloor. The result is a vibrant collection of incredibly danceable tracks, combining the sunny sounds of Cumbia and Chica from Faruolo’s work with the sultry soul-tinged R&B of Blackwell’s, with some abrasive fuzz and far-out dub echo thrown in for good measure! Fans of Khruangbin, La Luz and Los Bitchos will absolutely love this! Monte Carlo is released on October 28th by Suicide Squeeze Records.
