DOMi & JD Beck are the next generation of progressive jazz. After emerging on social media covering the likes of J Dilla and Madlib, the duo’s unique symbiosis landed them a place on Anderson .Paak’s up-and-coming APESHIT Records, dropping their first single “SMiLE” in early 2022. NOT TiGHT, their star-studded debut album, features the likes of Thundercat, Mac DeMarco and .Paak himself, making up the pieces of a project that is a frenetic reflection of the Gen-Z jazz scene, and a symbolic passing-of-the-torch.
