During numerous sessions in their own Inkiek studio in Unna\/Germany and a residency in Montoriol\/France in 2025, \u003cstrong\u003eKlangwart\u003c\/strong\u003e have created their new work ‘\u003cstrong\u003eWildnis\u003c\/strong\u003e’ (‘wilderness’), inviting \u003cstrong\u003eSébastien Del Grande\u003c\/strong\u003e to add tenor and alto saxophone, drums, marimba and other various percussion instruments to their electronic textures. Catalan composer and performer \u003cstrong\u003eIvan Chin\u003c\/strong\u003e aka \u003cstrong\u003eIvan Telefunken\u003c\/strong\u003e also participated in the recording sessions by contributing to a Catalan version of Swiss group \u003cstrong\u003eGrauzone\u003c\/strong\u003e’s famous new wave hit ‘Eisbär’ under the title ‘Os Polar’. \u003cstrong\u003eTimo Reuber\u003c\/strong\u003e’s arrangements, production and mastering gave the album its final touch. \u003cstrong\u003eKlangwart\u003c\/strong\u003e started their musical expedition into for them unknown territories already in 2014 when they went to Bogota \/Colombia in order to record with protagonists of the local music scene: \u003cstrong\u003eDami n Ponce\u003c\/strong\u003e (drums), \u003cstrong\u003eCésar Quevedo\u003c\/strong\u003e (bass) and \u003cstrong\u003eEblis Alvarez\u003c\/strong\u003e (violoncello), members of \u003cstrong\u003eThe Meridian Brothers\u003c\/strong\u003e, and singers \u003cstrong\u003eJuanita and Valentina Añez Rothmann\u003c\/strong\u003e a.k.a. \u003cstrong\u003eLas Añez\u003c\/strong\u003e. The result, released on \u003cstrong\u003eMarkus Detmer\u003c\/strong\u003e’s \u003cstrong\u003eStaubgold\u003c\/strong\u003e label in 2019, was \u003cstrong\u003eKlangwart\u003c\/strong\u003e’s trademark sound permeated by a Latin American pulse and pitch.
