Jesca Hoop – Order Of Romance, Dinked Edition Pre-order
Dinked 202 comes courtesy of Dinked alumni and Truck-favourite folk songstress Jesca Hoop. The Manchester-based singer-songwriter returns to follow up 2019’s fantastic Stonechild with another album of her signature jazz-inflected Americana and folk-rock, which is sounding more mature and fully-formed than ever. For Order Of Romance, Hoop returned to Bristol to again work with producer John Parish (PJ Harvey, Sparklehorse, Dry Cleaning), and collaborators including Jess Vernon (This Is The Kit), Jon Thorne (Yorkston/Thorne/Khan) and Seb Rochford (Sons Of Kemet, Aldous Harding), creating intricate arrangements that at times resemble if Joni Mitchell signed to ECM or an imagined Paul Simon/Brian Eno collaboration. Both forward-looking and rooted in classic songwriting, Order Of Romance is a perfect progression in Hoop’s sound, and is sure to be one of our albums of the year!
