Francis Lung – Miracle, Dinked Edition Pre-order
Dinked 102 is the new album from the Manchester-based lo-fi indie singer-songwriter Francis Lung. Miracle is released on June 18th by Memphis Industries.
Ex-WU LYF bassist Francis Lung caught our attention with 2019’s A Dream Is U, an album of charmingly retro jangle pop. Now, for his second solo album, Lung has stripped back slightly, embracing the songwriting of Elliott Smith and Jeff Tweedy to make an album of deceptively upbeat tracks that explore his creative struggles and disillusionment with the music industry. Miracle was self produced by Lung, in collaboration with Brendan Williams (Dutch Uncles, GoGo Penguin, Kiran Leonard), who assisted with production, and Robin Koob, who arranged and performed strings. Miracle is a wonderful album of stripped back indie pop, perfect for fans of Bonny Doon, Ultimate Painting and Mac Demarco.
