A day of excellent roots and Americana music from our good friends at Empty Room Promotions
Pete Gow.
Our old friend Pete is taking time off from playing with the Siren Soul Orchestra and will open up proceedings for us with a solo set. It will be good to have him back again.
Belle Roscoe.
I saw this Australian brother and sister play at the launch party for Pete’s first solo album ‘Here There’s No Siren’ and was mightily impressed. They will present a lively set with great sibling harmonies.
The Wanted Sisters.
Their website says it all really. “Raw Americana delivered by two striking bad-ass women, Savannah and Cat, who punch out songs from the heart. Their debut song “Been Through Hell” went straight to the top of the iTunes Country Charts and was quickly playlisted by BBC Radio”.
Our Man In The Field.
This is a band rapidly making a name for themselves headed up by Alex Ellis. They have toured the UK and Europe extensively and last year launched their sophomore album recorded in Portland Oregon with producer Tucker Martine.
The Blue Highways.
Another band I have high hopes for, BH is a band of brothers with a +1 who play killer rock ’n’ roll. Their second album ‘Out On The Line’ will be released on March 31st. Fatea said of their first EP, ‘With The Blue Highways clearly a band here to stay, this is a superb debut which perfectly showcases their talents’.
