Breana Barbara – Nothin’ But Time, Dinked Edition
Dinked 214 is the second album from NYC-based blues-rocker Breana Barbara. First arriving on the scene with her 2016 debut, Mirage Dreams, Breana Barbara is finally back with her long-awaited second album – Nothin’ But Time. Recorded in early 2020, just prior to the beginning of the pandemic, Nothin’ But Time finds Barbara’s live band in full force, working in Nashville’s Bomb Shelter Studios with producer Andrija Tokic (Margo Price, Alabama Shakes, Hurray for the Riff Raff) and exploring the sounds of psych-rock in a development of her powerhouse blues-rock sound. Warped theramins and warm synth tones play with fuzzed-out guitar and a tight rhythm section, all anchored by Barbara’s wash of vocals, bringing to mind Josefin Öhrn, The Brian Jonestown Massacre and The Dead Weather (whose bassist, Jack Lawrence, features!). Brilliant stuff! Nothin’ But Time is released on November 11th by Fuzz Club.
